Webinar Series: The effect of SnapChat-style filters on forensic facial identification

Dr. Reuben Moreton is a researcher and consultant in forensic science, with over 15 years’ experience working operationally as a forensic examiner and expert witness he now provides training and consultancy in facial identification and biometrics. He has worked on national and internationally projects as a technical lead and subject-matter expert to organisations around the world, as well as providing expert opinion on facial identification casework. With a PhD in the expertise underpinning face identification, Reuben has extensive research experience, contributing to published academic papers, and international policy and guidance documents in forensic science and facial identification. The current focus of his research is investigating the use of artificial intelligence in forensic face examination. More broadly his research has covered the psychology of forensic expertise and decision making.
